Spring is in the Air

At Pipkorn Speech we are excited every spring as the snow melts, flowers bloom, and birds come back chirping merrily.  It also is a call to action for us.  As the birds use their calls to communicate with the other birds around them, it reminds us that there are some children who have trouble communicating with their families.   Did you know that about 7% of children will have difficulty expressing themselves at some point in their lifetime?  We came across this resource from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) that can help you determine if your loved little one may be struggling with communication.  Happy spring, and let's give everyone a voice!

Pipkorn Speech is Launching!

We are excited to share that our company, Pipkorn Speech is launching in a town near you!  Our first two regions we are serving are the Price County and Taylor County in north central Wisconsin.  Here's a word from our owner and founder....

My name is Jessica and I have been a speech language pathologist working with children for almost 7 years.  I am excited Pipkorn Speech is launching!  Parents and grandparents have wondered for too long how to help their loved child who struggle to clearly speak.  They may have turned to medical SLPs but found the travel time to the appointments was too long.  They may have also turned to schools, but found their child's communication skills aren't far enough behind their peers.  They also may have wondered how to support their child during the summer with their speech/language skills.  I truly believe Pipkorn Speech is the answer to these questions and challenges.  I look forward to partnering with families to help children become better communicators.
